On the 5th January 2015, Samuel Ward Academy, Newmarket Academy and Thomas Gainsborough School took part in the first ever Samuel Ward Academy Trust conference. The day featured talks and discussions from staff regarding the current progress and future of the Academy Trust, with the aim to SHARE EXCELLENCE and CELEBRATE SUCCESS. Sharing in a vision by which our pupils have the opportunity to become successful learners, confident individuals, and responsible citizens, the Academy Trust staff were given the opportunity to share best practice and contribute to the development of 

interdependent self–sustaining outstanding schools in the area. Featuring performances from Samuel Ward Academy school choir and all-male 'Just for Men' pupil performance group.
