At Samuel Ward Academy, Students enjoyed a fine dining event, with chicken and fish appearing on the menu! The event was one of a series of termly dinners as part of an initiative to open up discussion between pupils and management, providing a great forum to discuss school matters over a fancy meal.
Students throughout the Samuel Ward trust responded with good-will and ingenuity to raise money to support communities affected by the natural disaster, which shook the lives of at least 8m people in Nepal.

Samuel Ward Academy’s Head of Design Technology, Mr Bleach, spent the end of May at the International D&T conference, Hosted by Technology Supplies International in Dubai, where he had been invited to speak and run a workshop on how to stimulate the minds of young designers.
Students flocked to the ballot boxes on the day of the General Election to cast their vote in the Samuel Ward Academy mock election - The event gave students a chance to participate and get involved with the drama and excitement of the tightest election battle for years, learning such things as what general elections are, how they work, what political parties are, how they differ, and which best represents their views!
