Staff at Felixstowe Academy have answered an appeal to donate key medical supplies in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.
The school has donated thousands of clear vinyl powder free gloves and safety goggles to support medical staff during the crisis.
Emma Wilson-Downes, headteacher of Felixstowe Academy, said: “We are delighted to lend our support to our amazing NHS at this time.
“The donation was overseen by our facilities manager, Graham Flint, who personally delivered the goggles and gloves to support the NHS.”
The academy is a member of the Unity Schools Partnership and other schools within the trust will be making similar donations.
Tim Coulson, chief executive of Unity Schools Partnership, said: “We all want to do whatever we can to support our NHS staff and all keyworkers at this time.
“Across the trust, our staff have worked above and beyond to keep schools open – as well as supporting those studying from home.
“Some of our schools will remain open over the Easter holidays as we continue to support keyworkers and their children.”
Other schools within Unity Schools Partnership to pledge their support through donations include Castle Manor Academy and Samuel Ward Academy in Haverhill and St Edward's Academy in Romford.
