Churchill Special Free School found ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted

After receiving its first Ofsted inspection this year, Churchill was awarded ‘Outstanding’ in all four areas in which it was inspected: Leadership and management, Behaviour and safety of pupils, Quality of teaching and Achievement of pupils. Head Teacher Georgina Ellis, who was directly praised in the report, commented on the result, “It has been a real team effort, a tremendous amount of work has been put in”, however, she insists there is still work to do, ‘The school is still growing…you never stop with education”. Ofsted wrote of the result, ‘pupils are happy to be members of this school community; this is reflected in the increasing attendance of pupils over time’.
