Post:              HUB FINANCE MANAGER – SAMUEL WARD ACADEMY TRUST

Start date:    October 2017

Salary:           Grade 6 (£30,480 pa pro rata)

Location:      Based at Wickhambrook, Haverhill, with requirement to attend at designated Trust schools as required

Contract type: Permanent

Contract term: Part time / term time only

This post has been created to work in collaboration with the central Finance team and staff colleagues across the designated geographical hub (“the hub”).   Their purpose is to develop and maintain cohesive finance administration and management systems which will support and enable Trust schools to deliver and sustain educational excellence.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Work with schools’ Senior Leadership teams and Central Trust (CT) staff colleagues to prepare, monitor and adhere to realistic and balanced budgets for designated Trust schools;
  • Maintain a strategic plan to reflect trends and requirements of schools’ development plans;
  • Oversee and support the work of Trust and individual schools’ Finance administration staff colleagues;
  • Assist with year-end financial accounting preparation;
  • Support and assist the work of the Trust Finance Manager as required.

Senior Administrative Assistant / Office Manager

We are looking for a well-organised, dedicated staff colleague to lead the school’s small front-office team in providing a comprehensive and effective administrative service to the school. The front office is the central communication hub for the school and the first point of contact for parents and all other visitors, so excellent communication skills and a friendly, welcoming disposition are essential qualities. You will also be comfortable working in a busy environment and skilled at managing your team in a way which is positive and supportive.

Overall Responsibility:

  • To prepare and serve food and drink, in accordance with Health and Safety, Health and Hygiene and Food Safety Regulations to meet the daily needs of staff, students and colleagues.
  • Duties will involve food preparation, food service, customer service, dishwasher operation and cleaning duties.
  • To maintain the kitchen, dining area, floor areas and other catering related areas to the highest standards of cleanliness.
